Rebate amounts for DRIVEEV and PowerUpRI have increased!
DRIVEEV: Residents can now save up to $3,000 for qualified new battery and fuel cell electric vehicles (BEVs and FCEVs) and up to an additional $1,500 based on income eligibility.
PowerUpRI: Residents can now save up to $800, or 100% (whichever is less) of the purchase price of a Level 2 Residential EV Charger, and $1,000, or 50% (whichever is less) of the installation costs of a Level 2 Residential EV Charger. Higher rebate amounts are also available for income-qualified applicants.
These increased rebate amounts apply to electric vehicles and residential EV chargers purchased on or after January 5, 2026. Vehicles and chargers purchased prior to January 5, 2026 remain eligible, but will be reimbursed under the previous rebate amounts.
